Viterra Chartering B.V. – Dry Bulk Shipping
Viterra Chartering has office locations in Rotterdam and Singapore. Viterra Chartering B.V. consists of 50+ employees and is divided in to multiple teams: Freight Trade, Operations (Voyage and Time Chartering), Bunker desk, Technical and Vetting management/Sustainability, Freight accounting, Risk- and Position management, Business Development/Business Intelligence. Our Chartering team is ambitious, innovative and diverse, with both experienced colleagues and entry-level professionals working together.
The primary function of Viterra Chartering B.V. is to commercially manage, execute and operate all dry sea freight requirements and risks which arise within the grains and oilseeds trading activities of Viterra B.V. We manage between 175-225 dry bulk vessels and transport about 55 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo all around the world, which makes us one of the bigger companies operating in dry bulk shipping.

Working at Viterra Chartering B.V.
Viterra Chartering B.V. offers traineeships in which you will rotate between several teams within the department and gain experience in both the operational and commercial side of our business. As a Chartering Trade Trainee you are ambitious, communicative, flexible and you are motivated to put your talents to great use in the shipping industry.
Our programme allows you to explore your knowledge through different experiences within Chartering Operations and Chartering Trade. You will learn how to apply your knowledge in an exciting and challenging working environment. We offer training under trusted guidance of experienced colleagues. In your first year, you will, amongst other things, take responsibility by operating and coordinating your own vessels, assist in purchasing bunkers and participate in several supportive activities. With the knowledge gained this year, the next step would be to join our Chartering Trade department.
Besides the importance of operational experience, we know the importance of data-analyses and emission management within the dry bulk shipping market, and are integrating this in to our future strategy.
